On this date in 1982, Yazoo released their third U.K. single, "The Other Side Of Love". The B side was "Ode To Boy". The A side was not on the original version of their debut album, Upstairs At Eric's, but was added upon its second release. The B side appeared on their second and final album, You And Me Both. The single reached the #13 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Essex, England new wave band disbanded in 1983 after two albums. Vince Clarke, formerly of Depeche Mode, went on to form Erasure. By the way, Yazoo was known as Yaz in the U.S. because there was already a U.S. band named Yazoo. The band has recently reunited to tour.
