On this date in 1980, The B-52's released their ninth single, "Strobe Light". It was backed by "Dirty Back Road". Both tracks appeared on their second album, Wild Planet. The Athens, Georgia new wave quintet was reduced to a foursome after the death of Ricky Wilson but have continued on and recently released a new album.
