TIEFENRAUSCH gr..ndeten sich 1997 im Schatten des Berliner Fernsehturms. Die sechs Mitglieder der Urformation kannten sich aus Schule und Bekanntenkreis. Zu den musikalischen Einfl..ssen z..hlten vor allem MADNESS und TON STEINE SCHERBEN. Also war schnell klar wohin die Reise gehen sollte. Aus England importierte man die Offbeats und die eing..ngigen Melodien, und in Sachen Songinhalte diente Rio Reiser als Inspirationsquelle. Das Ergebnis war ein Mix aus Ska und Punk mit deutschsprachigen Texten.

In den folgenden Jahren wurden TIEFENRAUSCH zum Hans Dampf in allen Gassen der Hauptstadt. Mit ihrer energiegeladenen Performance, den treibenden Ska-Beats und den euphorisierenden Bl..sers..tzen verwandelten sie jede Location in k..rzester Zeit in einen Hexenkessel. Folgerichtig teilte man bald die B..hne mit Ska-Gr....en wie den BUSTERS oder PANTHEON ROCOCO aus Mexiko. Aber auch auf dem Anwesen der TON STEINE SCHERBEN in Fresenhagen waren die Skapunker gern gesehene G..ste.

2003 lie..en sich TIEFENRAUSCH auch von einigen Umbesetzungsturbulenzen nicht aus der Bahn werfen und ver..ffentlichten in Eigenregie das Deb..talbum "Roboterrevolution". Im Jahr darauf erschien der zweite Longplayer "Heut' ist alles so perfekt" bei Skaro-Records. Hierf..r war die Bl..sersektion der Band aufgestockt worden, da man sich musikalisch noch mehr in Richtung Two Tone entwickelt hatte. Thematisch ist auf beiden Alben ein breites Spektrum abgedeckt. Gesellschaftspolitisches findet genauso seinen Platz wie Alltagsgeschichten und Imbissbudenromanzen. Allen St..cken ist aber gemein, dass sie schnell im Ohr h..ngen bleiben und unverz..glich in die Beine fahren. Bei der Suche nach einem Vertrieb f..r die Tontr..ger gelangte man zu Buschfunk. 2005 erschien dann das Album "Live im Tr..nenpalast".

Ab 2004 ging es immer steiler bergauf mit TIEFENRAUSCH. Absolutes Highlight war die Record-Release-Party zu "Heut' ist alles so perfekt". Anl..sslich dieses Ereignisses fanden sich etwa 2500 ausgelassen feiernde Konzertbesucher in der Berliner Columbia-Halle ein.

'OK!' triumphs in battle of the Zeta Jones wedding snaps

The celebrity magazine OK! has won a long-running court battle with its glossy rival Hello! after a row over pictures of the wedding of Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas.

The House of Lords ruled yesterday that Hello! had breached OK!'s confidentiality when it published unauthorised photographs of the ceremony at New York's Plaza Hotel in November 2000.

The Hollywood couple and OK! first sued Hello! when it published pictures taken secretly at the wedding by a photographer posing as a guest or waiter.

When the case came to court in 2003, Mr Justice Lindsay ruled that Hello! had acted "unconscionably" by publishing the unauthorised photographs. The judge said the snatched photographs, taken by Rupert Thorpe, son of the former Liberal leader Jeremy Thorpe, had been obtained by "misrepresentation or subterfuge" and said the "intrusion" was a breach of the Press Complaints Commission code of conduct. In that ruling, the Douglases and OK! were awarded £1m damages, but this was quashed after Hello! successfully went to the Court of Appeal in May 2005. Yesterday's decision means the damages award will now be reinstated.

Three out of five Law Lords found in OK!'s favour over confidentiality but lawyers for Hello! said the victory was pyrrhic because the court also found that Hello! had not knowingly injured OK!'s business. That meant, said lawyers, the estimated £8m costs of the case were expected to be shared by the two magazines.

The £14,600 damages awarded to Douglas and his wife by the High Court for the distress and inconvenience that the Hello! coverage caused them was not challenged at the Court of Appeal.

Hello! argued during the five-day hearing at the House of Lords that any confidentiality ceased after OK! published its own coverage of the wedding while OK! claimed that Hello!'s coverage was unlawful interference with its business or a breach of its right to confidentiality in the images.

Lord Hoffmann said OK! had paid £1m for the benefit of confidence imposed on everyone at the wedding regarding any photographs taken, and "I cannot see why they were not entitled to enforce it." He said other law lords who heard the case were troubled by the fact that the images were not intended to be kept secret but to be published by OK! But Lord Hoffmann said: "I see no reason why there should not be an obligation of confidence for the purpose of enabling someone to be the only source of publication if that is worth paying for." He said it would not create "an image right" - the information was being protected not because it concerned the Douglases or their private life but simply because it was information of commercial value.

Lord Nicholls and Lord Walker rejected the confidentiality claim but Baroness Hale and Lord Brown allowed the appeal. Lord Brown said: "Having paid £1m for an exclusive right, it seems to me that OK! ought to be in a position to protect that right and to look to the law for redress were a third party intentionally to destroy it."

Después de su último tour con Nekromantix, Petter Sandorff pasó un tiempo con su amigo y artista gráfico Gris Grimly en los Angeles en 2004. Surgió la idea de hacer sobre un película sobre caníbales y Peter decidió empezar a trabajar en la banda sonora con su viejo amigo Jeppe B. Jessen, bajista, en Dinamarca, pero aún necesitaban un bateria.
Un día en Long Beach pasó por una tienda de 2ª mano y acabó comprando una caja de ritmos Roland TR 707 a un viejo mejicano que la habia ganado en una partida de póker. De vuelta a Dinamarca, la banda sonora empezó a tomar forma y la caja de ritmos fué bautizada con el nombre de Ghost 707 y se convirtió en miembro permanente de la banda. Y así algo que solo pretendia ser un proyecto para hacer la banda sonora de una película se convirtió en un grupo: Hola Ghost.

Desde entonces Hola Ghost ha actuado por Copenhagen y la banda y especialmente "Ghost 707" ha ido consiguiendo un gran número de fans. Con influencias de música mejicana, flamenco, punk, psychobilly y rock´n´roll que ellos llaman: "PSYCHOTIC FLAMENCORE AND MORE.."

- The living dead on drums

The whole story of the Ghost, the amazing drum machine can be found from www.holaghost.com, here's a short version of the bio.

After his last tour with Nekromantix Peter Sandorff spent time with his graphic artist friend Gris Grimly in Los Angeles in 2004. The idea of a movie about cannibals was born and Peter decided to start working on the soundtrack for Cannibal Flesh Riot with an old friend in Denmark, bass player Jeppe B. Jessen, but the drummer had to be found.

One day in Long Beach Peter passed a pawnshop and ended up buying a Roland TR 707 drum machine from old Mexican guy who had won the machine from a poker game. Back in Denmark the soundtrack began to take shape, and the drum machine was baptized as Ghost 707 and became permanent member of something that was supposed to be just a project for a movie soundtrack but became a band: Hola Ghost.

Since then Hola Ghost has been playing shows in Europe an US and especially "Ghost 707" has been gaining a constantly growing group of followers. While becoming an important part of the band, Ghost 707 together with Jeppe and Peter has developed a growing interest in Mexican music and flamenco with, and they have been working these influences into their music together with the punk, psychobilly, rock’n roll and everything else they brought along from the past. This results in something that does not sound like any particular genre, but with room to embrace whatever musical influences they feel like and the will to ROCK! They name it: “PSYCHOTIC FLAMENCORE AND MORE…”

After finishing the score for Gris Grimly’s movie "Cannibal Flesh Riot", Hola Ghost performed selected compositions from the soundtrack at the movies opening nights in the "Silent Movie Theatre" in Hollywood, November 2006, and then supported the Australian psychobilly band ZOMBIE GHOST TRAIN on the SoCal part of their US-tour.

This summer the "Cannibal Flesh Riot" DVD, the soundtrack with a graphic version of the movie drawn by Gris Grimly and a mini album is planned to come out. - All with the living dead drummer "Ghost 707" keeping up the beat!
